Brisbane Trail Ultra® Drop Bag Details

The Brisbane Trail Ultra receives hundreds of drop bags each year, and the logistics of coordinating 6 events across 160km course is immense, therefore there is a risk that your bag may not end up at the correct location if not labelled correctly. Please follow the directions closely and avoid race day upset.

Drop Point BTU100Mi, BTU110 and BTU60

  • CP2, CP3, CP4, CP5, CP6, FINISH LINE BAG - Start Line - Before Your Race.

  • Collection - These bags will be delivered to the finish line of your event.

  • Your support crew can collect them from the checkpoint for you

Collection

  • Your support crew can collect your drop bag from the checkpoint.

  • Drop bags and Finish Line Bags will be delivered regularly throughout the race to the Finish Line, KANGAROO POINT PARK, and for the BTU20, they will be delivered to CP6 Mahogany Car Park Mt Coot-tha, the finish line of your event. Keep in mind this is a massive event and the final delivery will be at the close of each checkpoint.

  • All Drop Bags and Finish Line must be collected by 15:00 pm Sunday from the Finish Line KANGAROO CLIFFS POINT PARK

Drop Bag Requirements

Drop bags be no larger than a commercial shopping bag size.

See the above photo around 19cm Depth x 31cm width x35cm height This is the super zip-up cooler bag, “Coles” or “Woolworths” shopping bag size. and no smaller than a “Thermos Insulated Lunchbox” for example 22cm Width x 14.5cm Depth x 15.5 Height. Please attach a ribbon or something to your bag so it is easy to find. Only durable, waterproof, fully enclosed, soft bags will be accepted.

Name the bag in the following way;

  1. Bib Number. We can tell which event you are in by your rego number, we will also have your GPS tracked to aid with the speediness of your transition through the checkpoint.

  2. Name

  3. Checkpoint Number and Written Location of the Checkpoint

  4. Must be written on strapping or electrical tape with a thick black waterproof marker.

Drop Bag Locations

NB - No Drop Bag for CP1, only 10.3km into the event.

  • CP2 - Mount Nebo State School, BTU100Mi and BTU110

  • CP3 - Maiala Picnic Ground, BTU100Mi

  • CP4 - Dundas Bushcamp, BTU100Mi

  • CP5 - Gold Creek Reservoir, BTU100Mi, BTU110, BTU60

  • CP6 - Mahogany Track Car Park, BTU100Mi, BTU110, BTU60.

  • No drop bags for BTU30, CP6 is a well-equipped aid station and is only 14km into a 30km event.

  • Start Line - Finish Line Bag Service, BTU10, BTU20, BTU30, BTU60, BTU110, BTU100Mile
