BTU100Mi - BTU110 - Trail Ultramarathon Events
1x Waterproof Jacket with a hood, taped seams.
1x Thermal /Base Layer long sleeve pants.* in dry bag or zip lock bag
1x Beanie, balaclava or tubular bandana.* in dry bag or zip lock bag your BTU Headskinz will cover this requirement. But here is another option.
1x Full fingered “Thermal” gloves.* in dry bag or zip lock bag
1x Mobile Phone (Telstra Next G preferred)
1x Compass (smartphone and Smart watches like Sports watches are permitted as long as they still have battery on the finish line)
1x Whistle (usually on your race vest)
3x Food Portions - more than 300 calories
1x 2.5cm by 5m Strapping Tape.
1x Compression Bandage minimum 10cm (This is larger than the UTA recommendations but it will save your life if you or your friend are bitten by a snake).
1x Zip Lock Bag for personal rubbish
1x High Visibility Vest that complies with the Australian Standards AS/NZS 4602:1999-D/N
Ability to carry 2L of Fluid* (you don’t need to carry the full 2L with you, just have the ability too carry if needed if the conditions change*)
Head Torch and spare battery or charging battery pack, plus spare head torch and batteries
Cup for Soup, noodles, hot food. We are a plastic cup free event

In the event of hypothermic conditions, the following may be added to the mandatory gear list and may be required to be picked up at later checkpoints leading into the night to prevent hypothermia*
1x Fleece top* or Mid Layer, Mid Layer Jacket in dry bag or zip lock bag

Mandatory Gear Check Partner
Wild Earth is our trail ultramarathon event mandatory gear check partner.
Gear checks are required for the following events ONLY, we will be checking gear on course at Checkpoints and at the finish line and a 2-hour time penalty may be given if any runner is not carrying the required mandatory gear for their event.
Events that require a mandatory gear check;
BTU100Mi, BTU110, and BTU60
BTU30 MUST HAVE HIGH VIS VEST and will be checked as they enter the start line Chute.
BTU20 MUST HAVE HIGH VIS VEST and will be checked as they enter the start line Chute.
BTU10 - No Check required.
