It’s time to get excited! Only six more sleeps until BTU2024 entries open.
Brisbane Trail Ultra STWC 🌏🏆 2024 entries open on the 18th of October, 2023. The site will go LIVE at 12:00pm AEST.
Good news: we’ve changed the qualification requirements to make our event more accessible for shorter distances. BTU10 and BTU20 no longer have to provide any qualification/training runs for the entry of their event. Enter away and start your training.
Remember, for Runners in BTU100Mi, BTU110, BTU60 and BTU30 who haven’t already completed their qualifying training run or event, no worries. You can enter away; you have until the 10th of June 2024 to finish your qualification training run our event. See the Qualification Page for more details.
If you’ve finished the BTU2022 and BTU2023, we are streamlining the qualification process for you. The fabulous Team BTU is currently emailing your qualification certificates for the distance of your event. Please take the time to check your junk/spam box and ensure you are signed up to the website mailing list so you will receive this email from our team. The 6th Stop on the Spartan Trail World Championship STWC🌏🏆 Saloman Ultra Pirenu was on last week, and the photos coming out look AMAZING! 🤩 This event is on my bucket list for sure!
This weekend, we are excited to volunteer with Brisbane Trail Runners at the Blackall 100 (B100). As the tenth anniversary of this iconic event approaches, there is an air of excitement and nostalgia in the air. YUP! We have some fond memories; check out Shona ten years ago, 90km in, 35 degrees and on track for 10:59:59 🥰. More important! Those calves! 😂😅.
Runners from all over the world are gathering in Mapleton on the weekend to push their names into the history of the Blackall 100. Our warmest wishes to every runner, knowing that their journeys will be mentally and physically challenging. May the trail-running gods be on your side; the weather couldn't be better, remember to hydrate 1st, nutrition comes 2nd.
Whether aiming for a podium finish or simply hoping to cross that finish line, remember to embrace the journey, savour each moment, chat with your fellow trail buddies and appreciate the beauty of nature surrounding you.
Remember to smile. It won't hurt as much if you have a smile on your face! I promise.
