Changes to the BTU
Dear BTU Entrant,
It is with great regret that, due to unforeseen health reasons that impact the management of the more extended events of the race, we have made the decision to cancel some of the races for the BTU 2025 event. To ensure that we can provide our entrants with the best possible experience on race day the following races in 2025 have been cancelled;
BTU30, BTU60, BTU110 and BTU100Mi.
BTU will still host the Golden Trail National Series Final powered by Salomon and put on the BIGGEST BTU, GTNS, Salomon party in 2025. All the hype is about inviting the fastest trail runners to the BTU20 for the BTU SPRINT events, with a start and finish line trail festival activation, maximum community engagement and the much-anticipated GTNS 2025 Australian winners on June 28th!
2025 is a transitional year. We are onboarding RunVault as our Trail Store Partner, and they will become more involved in 2026 when the BTU is restored to its previous format.
RunVault will also be involved with the BTU Training Camps. Stay tuned for the details of the changes to the training camps for the 2025 event to suit this year's format.
What does this mean for you? We are offering our affected entrants two options.
Option 1: We'll offer a full refund for anyone participating in the BTU30, BTU60, BTU110, or BTU100Mi events and training camps
Option 2: Change to the BTU20 to be part of the GTNS or to the BTU10 and training camps, and the cost difference will be refunded as part of this process.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. Please know that this decision was not taken lightly, and we are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
As Christmas is approaching, we are keen to process any event changes and refunds as soon as possible. We will contact each affected entry individually to process your refund and/or event swap. This process will start from today.
