We invite you to join us at the upcoming weekend for the ultimate Wild Earth BTU Training camp, back-to-back Saturday and Sunday training camps, marking the final camp for the BTU 2024 Training Camp series.

Saturday and Sunday back-to-back training camps qualify for the BTU100Mi, Saturday camp qualifies for the BTU110 and BTU60, and Sunday Camp qualifies for the BTU30. In 2024, we are proud to be joined by our AMAZING coaches: Liam Mckenzie from The Mckenzie Method, Katie Dall from Club KT, Susannah Harvey-Jamieson from AAA Racing and Coaching, and RD Shona Stephenson.

Here are the details below;

Wild Earth BTU- STWC Training Camp - SATURDAY MAY 25TH

Start time:

5am (cruisy start )

6am (speedy start)

Location: 

Mt Nebo State School, View Street Parking 

Proposed route:

May (June* in title) Training Camp day 1 - 48km

Please note we have run this route 4 years in a row now, and watches have come up with a range from 47-51km 2000-2400m elevation.

This is the top portion of the 100-mile course. We will be starting from CP2, run to CP3 where we will have a checkpoint stop (20.1km in, toilets, Red Bull wings, Hammer and water)

We will then proceed to CP4 (20.6km from last stop and total 40.7km in) before leaving the course and heading back to Mt Nebo SS.

7-9 hours depending on group and weather conditions

Wild Earth BTU- STWC Training Camp - MAY 26TH - 18KM SUNDAY - BTU30/BTU20 QUALIFYING EVENT Sunday 26th May

Start time:

Start time may also shift to 06:30am

Location:

Mt Nebo Rd/Dundas Rd Car parking area. 

If this is full, please park on Hammermeister Rd and walk over. Please do not park in the Mt Nebo Waste Transfer Station area.

Proposed route:

Sunday Training Camp Day 2 - 18km

We have consistently clocked over 19km on my watch 4 years running this same route and have hit just under 1000m vertical climb. 

We will be running back out to Dundas Bushcamp CP4 and follow the 100mile course from here for 15km before heading back from Taylor's break (showing you the Standpipe turn off) back to the start location. 

Estimated running time:

3-4.5 hours 

This has been the range of times we have previously run for this route and please remember many of us are backing up from the day before.
