We are super excited to see the inaugural Golden Gate Trail Classic was hosted on the weekend by trail running legend, Ultramarathon man Dean Karnazes and the Spartan Trail World Championship Team. Our team is so looking forward to the borders opening up and the US - Australian travel bubble to commence. We’d love to jump on a plane to visit the stunning city of San Francisco and the Iconic Golden Gate Bridge. The views from the mountains down to the Golden Gate Bridge and the water look amazing! We can’t wait to have more pictures with you over the next new weeks.

We have updated BTU2022 Maps for you to all download onto your GPS watches or Smart Phones. Jump on the Map page and download the files to your watches or smartphones and start training with the correct maps. There are changes to the 2022 maps so please make sure you have these updated files.

We have been blown away by the response from Maree Connor’s interview. So much so we’ve taken the time to upload Maree Connor’s Podcast for you to listen to when out driving, training or racing. It’s well worth a listen, we are sure it will inspire you to get up and train hard over the Summer Christmas period.

Join Shona and Cora and the 42for42 team at the 42 Hour Challenge at Suncorp Stadium that is on this weekend.

You can sign up for as little as a $100 donation.

The funds go towards the building and maintaining of the Afghanistan War Memorial Garden at Suncorp Stadium.

This event is special to the BTU team as the 42for42 community supports our event at Suncorp Stadium, about 8km from the finish line.

This event is also special, as it will stop and pause every hour and remember each fallen soldier for the 41 hours of the Challenge, then on the 42nd hour, it will remember all those who we’ve lost since they have returned home to Australia from suicide.

We believe this cause touches many people in the trail running community as it is especially important at the moment as we look towards the Royal Commission in Defence and Veteran Suicide.

Let’s do something positive and use our feet for a good cause. If you can’t make it this weekend, just jump online and donate to the building and the maintenance of the Afghanistan War Memorial Garden. So far the 42for42 team has raised $1300.00, about 32% towards their target of raising $4200.00.

That’s all from Cora and Shona, we hope everyone can make the 42for42 Hour Challenge this weekend.

Happy Hump Day!
