I especially love the contrasting shots Lachy and the Element team have taken, which takes us through the eucalypt woodlands and rainforests, all the way to the urban architectured landscapes of our sprawling Brisbane City.

From here to the finishing line was the Suunto Stair climb. The winners of the overall Suunto Stair Climb is Sara Alonso Martinez with a time of 1:25 and Jeremy Hunt in 1:28. Congratulations on both winning the BTU30 Sara, and the BTU20 Jeremy. As you can see both Sarah and Jeremy have already received a watch prize as a winner of the BTU30 (Sara), and BTU20 (Jeremy) so the winner of the Suunto Stair climb watch prize will go to the next fastest.

Congratulations to Patricia McKibbin and Piotr Babis on winning a Suunto 5 Peak Watch! we will be in touch!!

Red Bull Climb

The Red Bull Climb had a few changes this year. Due to the move of the check point, the start of the Red Bull Climb also saw itself a move. The climb this year started from the bottom of the Pinnacles track, which meant there was no flat section to warm up on, just a climb from the start! With that said, there seems to be one king of this mountain. For the second year in a row, Aidan Hobbs has conquered this climb as the overall winner. A Yeti pack from Red Bull Australia is on its way Aidan!

TRAQ Lake Manchester

This year, TRAQ Lake Manchester will be run in collaboration with Springfield Runners Group on Sunday 21st August. You may remember TRAQ and SRG pairing up at the Brisbane Trail Ultra startline/CP5 this year and this dynamic duo will make a return in a first for the Trail Running Association of Qld. TRAQ will be supporting SRG, the not-for-profit club to expand their presence within the trail running community.

The Brisbane Trail Ultra and our BTU community have enjoyed the continued support from TRAQ and SRG and now it is time to help support them.

Jump on and register for 23km, 10km, or 5km distance options & be part of the fun.

TRAQ Race Director Kathryn Austin with Kids Race Director Alexis Newey
