Brisbane Trail Ultra is proud to announce our new partnership with global sportswatch leader Suunto - Last Chance for Name On Bibs.

Brisbane Trail Ultra is proud to announce our new partnership with global sportswatch leader Suunto.

Suunto has been pioneering exploration since 1936 and stands for adventure, so we’re so excited to announce our partnership with the brand to pursue a common love for adventure and passion to explore new trails. And most of all, we’re excited to offer up amazing prizes to you all!

Suunto’s rugged and reliable sportswatches are at the forefront of design and innovation and have been an integral tool in designing the Brisbane Trail Ultra course. To push our runners to their limits, Suunto’s sportswatches have helped us develop one of the most challenging events in the Oceanic Region, accurately tracking location as well as elevation gain and loss. The initial on-foot GPS mapping of the Brisbane Trail Ultra course was performed with Suunto’s technology and confirmed with high-level mapping software. Both Shona and Cora have tried and tested products from Suunto since 2012 and love it for its ease of use and reliability.

And our entrants have extensive experience with its technology too, with the navigation feature allowing maps to be loaded onto the watch and even alerts runners when they are off course. This feature increases our runners' safety while training or on-course racing.

With Suunto onboard, the Brisbane Trail Ultra is also excited to announce another BTU challenge: The BTU- Suunto Stair Climb. The BTU- Suunto Stair Climb offers a chance to be crowned the fastest person to travel up the iconic Kangaroo Point Cliff stairs to the BTU Finish Line. This is an event within an event for the BTU100Mi, BTU110, BTU60, BTU30, BTU20. OUCH! There will be tears, quads will melt, and it will be loads of fun!

Suunto has also come on board to provide prizes for the winning male and female of each BTU event, as well as the winner of the fastest stair climb*, including the below:
