BUS TRANSFER CONFIRMATIONS

BTU bus transfer bookings have now closed. Please check that you are on the list and the correct bus, especially if you’ve switched events.

It’s tax time and, therefore, time to Donate to a charity that is making a real difference in Australia. Why not think about our Charity Partner, Bush Heritage Australia? Bush Heritage Australia is a leading not-for-profit conservation organisation that protects ecosystems and wildlife across the continent. They use the best science, conservation and right-way knowledge to deliver landscape-scale impact. They’re on the ground, working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the agricultural sector to make sure our impact is deep, sustainable and collaborative.

Right now they are trying to raise funds to purchase a property, called Dodgey Downs. The name "Dodgey Downs" is a bit quirky, but the opportunity it presents is anything but! At Bush Heritage, we're thrilled at the chance to transform this 762-hectare patch of cleared land into a thriving wildlife corridor, creating nearly 4,000 hectares of connected bushland.

Imagine a safe haven for threatened species like Chuditch (Western Quoll), Gnow (Malleefowls), Noolbenger (Honey Possums), and Ngoolark (Carnaby's Cockatoos), all thanks to the restoration of Dodgey Downs.

The new CEO of Bush Heritage Australia, Rachel Lowry, has spotted a crucial opportunity that has been unmatched in decades and has a limited window to reconnect two reserves in one of only two international biodiversity hotspots found in Australia. The Fitz-Stirling region is unlike any other. Countless flowering plants and shrubs provide a home for unique animals. Remarkably, biodiverse restoration here is working wonders!

Land that lay dormant just a decade ago is now a bustling habitat with hundreds of thriving native species. Even the rarest Malleefowl (Gnow) uses the area for nesting. This success story is our vision for Dodgey Downs.

Bush Heritage Australia needs your help to take the first step in reconnecting this vital corridor and safeguarding precious wildlife.

If you’d like to make an impact Your tax-deductible gift (DOUBLED) could provide the seedlings needed to attract Carnaby's Cockatoos (Ngoolarks) and protect more threatened Malleefowls (Gnow).

Here is the latest update of the BTU Booklet.
