Step 1 - GPS Tracker Photo
A GPS Photo is taken with a special device that is provided by Track Me Live.
This Photo can only be taken with this device
To have your photo taken with this device please come to registration on Friday 28th of June between 11:00 am and 19:00pm
This is the way we confirm that you and your race bib and tracker is with the correct runner and no mistakes are made.
-
Step 2 - GPS Tracker Pick Up
Our GPS Tracker is a separate device from your race bib timing chip.
At the BTU we use two methods of timing and tracking our runners.
The GPS Trackers have limited charge on them, to ensure that your GPS tracker works for the duration of the event, your tracker must be collected within the battery lifetime window of your race.
Arrive between 1 hour and 90 minutes before your race start to collect your GPS tracker on race day at the start line of your event.

Step 3 - Placement in your Pack.
To ensure that you’re GPS tracker works effectively we will tape your tracker to the shoulder strap of your race vest or in your race vest’s top pocket or back neck pocket.
It must be placed in this pocket by itself with no other race kit.
If you put your GPS tracker in your race pack it may not transmit a strong enough signal.
GPS Trackers help your support crews, pacers, friends and family follow you while racing the BTU
GPS Trackers will also Improve your logistics for your support crew and pacers too.
GPS Trackers will help your support crews and pacers plan their arrival at the Checkpoints
They will allow your friends and family who can’t make it to the BTU to follow you online or time their arrival to the finish line to cheer you across the Brisbane Trail Ultra Finish Line, or up those grueling Kangaroo Cliff Stairs.
If you are an elite runner or expecting to be on the BTU Podium for the BTU30, BTU20, and BTU10, you will also be provided with a GPS tracker by the BTU Team. If you were on the Podium in 2023, we will be in contact with you. If you think you will be on the podium in 2024, please connect with us and we will see if a GPS tracker is necessary for you.
Placing GPS trackers on our lead runners helps us ensure that the course is ready and for you.
We invest heavily in traffic management for the Brisbane Trail Ultra course, and our traffic controllers follow our lead runners on race day to make sure they are prepared for you when you arrive at their location.
